By law the United Kingdom must reach 'Net Zero' by 2050. This means no longer adding to the total amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

The Climate Committee has said that to reach the 2050 target, we must change how we heat our homes.
The latest advice is that emissions should be 13% of 1990 levels by 2040 for the UK to meet its aims.
Ed Miliband, the Energy Secretary, said the Government would respond in due course and would consider the advice given.
What is the Climate Change Committee?
Under UK law, the Climate Change Committee gives independent advice on how much the UK should emit every five-years, which are called 'Carbon budgets.'
What has the Climate Change Committee said about these goals?
The CCC said that one-third of carbon cuts between now and 2040 must come from homes making low-carbon decisions.
This will mainly involve swapping from petrol and diesel cars to more environmentally friendly options such as electric vehicles and from fossil fuel boilers to heat pumps. Eating less meat and dairy is believed to also contribute to this.
Did you know you could get £7500 towards a heat pump through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?
Through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, you could get a grant to cover part of the cost of replacing fossil fuel heating systems with biomass boilers or heat pumps.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is available for people in England and Wales.
At Neutral Energy Solutions, we can carry out boiler upgrade scheme installations. If you're interested in finding out more, then please get in touch.
